The Mayor of Casterbridge the movie

The Mayor Of Casterbridge was created into a movie because it was apparently a very good novel witit ongoing misfortunes. Released 1978 this movie was adapted from the novel with good actors and story plot line it could not yet compare with the novel. The novel gave more to this story setting the sad tones to the story creating emotions that can only be created by a book. The novel gave more to the characters and leaving the readers with information of why and how the characters changed through out the novel. The movie can be seen as a tribute to the novel created by Thomas Hardy. It is great honor for such an old novel to be given the opportunity to come out to the public in a visual form as it did in the movie form.
